Lobos Get MW Preview at Arizona

ALBUQUERQUE, N.M. — The University of New Mexico men’s golf team is set to get a preview of the Mountain West Tournament course this weekend at the N.I.T. hosted by Arizona at the Omni Tucson National Golf Course.

Competition is set to begin on Saturday, March 20 and continue through Sunday, March 21 on the 7,167-yard, par-72 course in Tucson.

The N.I.T. will feature eight teams ranked in the Golfstat Top 35 and 10 individuals ranked in the top 75 of WAGR.

The Lobos enter the tournament coming off of a fifth-place finish at the George Hannon Invitational less than one week ago. Junior Sam Choi led the Lobos with a ninth-place finish (-1) and has finished +1 or better in all three of UNM’s contests this season.

The New Mexico lineup for the N.I.T. will feature Choi, sophomore Albert Boneta, freshman Bastien Amat, junior Ignacio Arcaya and junior Brandon Shong. Competing as an individual will be redshirt-senior Ross Sinclair.

The Lobos are scheduled to tee off on hole 10 at 7 a.m. PT (8 a.m. MT) on Saturday. Fans can follow live via live stats.
