Women's Tennis Adds Taiwan's Huang

ALBUQUERQUE, N.M. — Head coach Vicky Maes has announced that Hsuan Huang of Zhubei City, Taiwan (The Republic of China) has been signed for the 2020-21 season and will join the women’s tennis squad. She joins Satoho Toriumi is signees for the 2020-21 season.

Huang, who is of no relation to current Lobo and new teammate Hsiang-Wen Huang, has been as ranked as high as No. 398 in juniors.  She won the J5 singles title in Vietnam and has multiple national junior tournament titles.  She played high school tennis at Yang Ming High School under Coach Shen-Jia Hong.

Earlier in the day, UNM had four players earn all-conference honors with Hsiang-Wen Huang and Bronte Murgett earning the honors in singles and Sara Kuuttila-Webbert and Myu Kagayama earning the honors in doubles.
