The honor marks the first time that Choi has earned a spot on the PING All-Region Team, however the award comes on the heels of the sophomore earning a spot on the prestigious 2020 Arnold Palmer Cup Team. Choi, who helped the Lobos to the 2019 Mountain West Championship last season, is the second straight Lobo to earn a spot on the PING All-Region Team, following former Lobo and current volunteer assistant coach Sean Carlon in 2019.

Choi, one of just two players from the Mountain West to make the Arnold Palmer Cup Team and one of eight named to the PING All-Region squad, was a two-time Mountain West Golfer of the Week and 2018-19 Mountain West Co-Freshman of the Year. Choi registered three top-5 finishes this season including his first collegiate victory at the John Burns Intercollegiate hosted by Hawaii on Feb. 20-22. He finished the 2019-20 season ranking 30th in the nation among NCAA Division I players.

Choi registered a career-low round score of 66 three times this season, tying the best round for a Lobo in 2019-20, while leading the Lobos in five of their eight competitions including the last three straight.
