The Cougars also had a strong showing, carding three birdies and two pars, however, after keeping the top four scores, BYU’s score of -3 put it one stroke behind to give the Lobos the win (-4).

The overall individual winner, Peter Kuest of BYU, shot a three-round score of 200 (-16) to break the course record set by former Lobo Tim Herron in 1992 (201, -15).

It was Green who led the Lobos in the competition as he tied for second overall with an outstanding three-round total of seven under, 209. Green began round three with back-to-back birdies on his first two holes and went on to add three more during the round, bringing his three-round total to 15 birdies. Choi shot an outstanding 38 pars in the competition as he tied for second overall in the category.

Sinclair finished in a tie for 19th with a score of 218 (+2) after recording his best score of the competition in round two with a three under, 69. Boneta trailed by just one stroke as he finished the competition in a tie for 22nd, carding scores of 73 (+1) in each round of work to bring his total to three over, 219.

Representing the New Mexico “B” team was senior Sam Dickey, sophomores Jack Anderson and Roy Choi, redshirt-sophomore Brad Cole and freshman Dylan Fritz. Dickey led the “B” team with a score of five over, 221 as he tied for 30th overall. Dickey shot 12 birdies in the competition while Cole was one of just seven competitors to register two eagles, one on the 14th hole and another on 18th hole, both in round two.

The Lobos wrapped up the competition with a final score of 854 (-10) after posting scores of 282, 281, and 291 in rounds one, two and three, respectively. Last season, the Lobos finished with a score of 863 (-1).

Fourth-place San Diego State registered the most pars in the competition (173) while Arizona led with 59 birdies.
