GREELEY, Colo. – The University of New Mexico swimming and diving team crossed the border of Wyoming and made their way into Greeley, Colo. today to continue onto their second consecutive day of competition. The Lobos faced both Northern Colorado and Wyoming in day one off the springboard events.

UNM’s divers had a synchronized score of 178.95 points to put them in fourth place. The Lobos followed behind Wyoming who took first and second place and Northern Colorado who claimed third and fifth place with cumulative scores of 210.20, 199.85, 186, and 154.05 points, respectively.

Rachel Colman and Aundrea Scott, both freshman divers, represented New Mexico off the 1-meter boards today. Both athletes debuted an impressive first official performance as Colman finished in the top three scorers as she took third place and 230.95 points. Aundrea Scott came in fifth place which brought in another 218.80 points for the Lobos.

This week’s competition does not stop here for UNM’s swimming and diving team as they will travel for the third and final day to Denver, Colo. to participate in the Denver Relay Meet beginning at noon.
