SINGERS WANTED: AUDITION FOR NATIONAL ANTHEM IS SEPT. 30
Have you ever wanted to stand in front of several thousand people and sing one of the more difficult songs around? Well, here’s your chance to belt out the National Anthem in front of friends, family and Lobo fans. Watch those high notes!
The University of New Mexico Athletics Department will hold auditions for National Anthem singers on September 30 from 4 p.m. to 6 p.m. in The Pit. If you want to reserve a two-minute audition spot you must RSVP by 5 p.m., Sept. 27. To RSVP, contact Monika Roberts at mroberts@unm.edu.
Each singer at the audition will have two minutes to perform a traditional acapella version of the Anthem. The selected singers will perform in The Pit before Lobo men and Lobo women’s basketball games and also at other UNM athletic events.
Again, the audition is Sept. 30 and the deadline to reserve an audition spot is 5 p.m. Sept. 27. On the day of the audition (Sept. 30), enter at the Northeast corner of The Pit at the Lobo Ticket Office. Please arrive at least 15 minutes prior to your designated audition time slot.
