FRESHMAN YEAR (2016): Started 45 games for the Lobos in the outfield … finished with a .250 batting average … recorded 34 hits and scored 31 times … led the team in walks with 29 … finished with an on-base percentage of .382 … recorded 56 putouts and earned a .984 fielding percentage … Her best game was February 20 against Pacific where she went 3-for-3 with one RBI and one run scored … Mountain West Academic All-Conference.

HIGH SCHOOL: A 2015 graduate of Lake Elsinore High School…lettered in softball under head coach Todd Naylor…2015 First Team All-Sunbelt selection…2014 Second Team All-Sunbelt selection…also lettered in volleyball…Three-Time First Team All-Sunbelt selection in volleyball…played for Team Smith summer ball team…2014 Third Place at Triple Crown World Series…Participated in the Inland Empire vs. Orange County All-Star game senior year (2015) and was the only one for Inland Empire who got a hit off of Orange County and went 2-for-2.

PERSONAL: Born on June 13 in Albuquerque, New Mexico to Jim and Paula Smith…has two siblings, Nick and Jessica…great grandfather is Tom Popejoy, who played football for the Lobos from 1921-1924 and has Pope Joy Hall named after him…Lists Austin Urness as her favorite athlete, sushi as her favorite food and Grease as her favorite movie…plans to major in biology.
