JUNIOR: An All-Mountain West performer in the 200-yard butterfly (2:02.85). … Earned five points in the Mountain West Championships for UNM by racing in the B final and posting a time of 55.40. … Won the 100 butterfly against Northern Colorado (57.02).

FRESHMAN: Recorded the third fastest time in the 200-yard IM at 2:10.83…swam the 100-yard butterfly with a time of 56.38 at the 2014 Mountain West Swimming and Diving Championships…recipient of the 2014 Mountain West All-Academic Award and contributed to the program’s 2013 Fall CSCAA Scholar All-America Teams award and 2014 Spring CSCAA Scholar All-America Teams award. 

HIGH SCHOOL: A 2013 graduate of Butte High School in Butte, Mont….letterwinner in swimming who was awarded the Outstanding Girl Swimmer Award as well as the Montana Female Sportswoman of the Year Award….swam for coach Lynn Shrader…placed top five at the state level a number of times during her high school career: 3rd in the 100-yard fly, 5th in the 100-yard breast, 2nd and 5th in the 400- and 200-yard free relay, respectively, as a freshman; state champion in the 100-yard fly and 400-yard free relay with her teammates, 3rd in the 100-yard back and 2nd in the 200-yard medley relay as a sophomore; 2nd in the 100-yard fly and 200-yard IM as a junior…a member of the National Honor Society and the Science National Honors’ Society… was her class’ Valedictorian. 

PERSONAL: Born in Butte, Mont., daughter of Lisa and Bill Wheeler … has a brother, Jacob … hobbies include reading, writing and camping … favorite food is popcorn, favorite athlete is Natalie Coughlin.
