Turned in one of the greatest seasons in school history, starting all 34 games, averaging 20.4 points to lead the team, and grabbing .7.4 rebounds • led the Mountain West in scoring and shooting (.556) • second on the team with 51 blocks, and his 298 free throw attempts were three away from the school record • ended his career 20th in scoring at UNM and 10th in rebounding • was named Second Team All-America by Sports Illustrated, Third Team All-America by NBC Sports and CBS Sports and Honorable Mention All-America by the Associated Press.

2013 AUSTRALIAN TOUR
Played in just one game, scoring 22 points with six rebounds on 8-of-10 shooting against the Sydney Kings • did not play the final two games as he was invited to try out for the Australian Boomers National Team • earned one of the 12 spots on the Aussie squad, and played in the Oceania Series where Australia defeated New Zealand two games to none.
2013 WORLD UNIVERSITY GAMES
Led Australia to its first ever international basketball medal, as Australia earned a Silver Medal at the 2013 World University Games in Kazan, Russia • led Australia with a 12.8 scoring average and a 6.8 rebounding average • also led Australia with eight blocks, and was second on the team with 22 assists • shot .494 from the field • led Australia into the medal round with a 22-point performance in a win over the United States, along with nine rebounds and five steals • led Australia in the gold medal game with 21 points on 7-of-10 shooting against Russia in an 81-74 loss.

Attended the well-know Australian Institute of Sport (AIS) in Canberra starting in January of 2009 • The AIS is the country’s national center of sports excellence designed for the training and development of elite athletes and teams • The AIS has churned out numerous standout collegiate players, including Andrew Bogut (Utah) and Patrick Mills (St. Mary’s) • Bairstow was a member of the Queensland team that won the 2009 Under 20 Australian national championship and he played on the Australian Under 19 team that took the 2009 FIBA Oceania title • Played for head coach Marty Clarke at the AIS • Seen a lot of the world, traveling with AIS to Italy and to the Basketball Without Borders Camp Asia in 2009 • Also a member of the 2010 South East Australian Basketball League (SEABL) Select Team that visited Qatar.
