SENIOR (2014-15)
Academic All-MW selection… NABC All-District Second Team… All-Mountain West Third Team… Voted to All-MW Third Team by league media as well… Became 33rd Lobo to score 1,000 points in a career… Was the 17th Lobo in program history to score at least 1,000 points and grab over 500 rebounds… Joined Lamont Long as the only guards in New Mexico history with 1,000 points and 600 rebounds… Graduated top ten in Lobo history in career minutes played (3,843), assists (372) and made three-point field goals (187)… Set the Mountain West career record for conference games played at 65 with Boise State’s Derrick Marks… Finished tied for first in the MW in made three-point field goals at 2.6 per game… Set career high with 24 points versus Boston College (11-20-14) in 2014 ESPN Puerto Rico Tip-Off… Had most memorable game at UNLV (1-21-15) with 22 points on six made three-pointers and eight rebounds with his first dunk since his freshman year after receiving much-publicized inappropriate tweets about his family from a UNLV fan earlier in the day… Nearly doubled his scoring in senior year (11.6 ppg) from junior year (6.2 ppg)… Scored in double figures in 18 games with five of those games being 20-point performances… Tallied seven assists in a game twice (against Idaho State and Texas A&M) in team’s first five games of the season… Had double-digit rebound games against Idaho State (11-14-14) and Colorado State (2-10-15)… Recorded ten blocks in eleven games during MW play from his point guard position… Matched his career high of six made three-point field goals in his 22-point performance at Utah State (1-10-15)… Winner of the Tow Diehm Inspiration Award for 2014-15 academic year… Also received the 2014-15 Loren Dils Courage Award at UNM Scholar-Athlete Banquet… Started a charity to raise funds for the UNM Cancer Center in honor of his mother’s second battle with breast cancer, which received over $52,000 in donations through the course of the season.
JUNIOR (2013-14)
Earned All-Conference Honorable Mention for a second consecutive season… Academic All-MW selection… Selected to the NABC Honors Court… Finished sixth in assist-to-turnover ratio in the NCAA with 105 assists and 30 turnovers (3.5 asst-to)… Among point guards nationally, the 30 assists were the third-fewest among those that played at least 700 minutes… Finished third on the team in rebounding from the point guard position for a second-straight year (5.1 rpg)… Recorded 105 assists after tallying 83 as a freshman and as a sophomore… Scored a season-high 20 points versus Boise State (1-21-14), which was the second game of 20 points or more of his career… Registered one or fewer turnovers in 22 of his 31 games played… Matched career high in rebounds with ten against Davidson (11-24-13) and at Utah State (1-28-14)… Opened the season with ten assists and no turnovers in the first three games… Second on the team in steals with 27… Increased his minutes per game average (31.8 mpg) for a third-straight season… Averaged 14.0 points, 6.3 rebounds, and 3.0 assists over the three games during team’s foreign tour in Australia… Ended season with 99 career appearances… Lobo Scholar-Athlete award recipient for third time in his career.
SOPHOMORE (2012-13)
Honorable Mention All-Mountain West… Repeated as an Academic All-MW selection… Named to Bob Cousy Collegiate Point Guard of the Year Award Watch List… Joined Tony Snell as the only Lobos to start every game of the season… Team leader in steals with 47… Third on the team in rebounding from the point guard position with 5.0 rebounds per game average… Led the Lobos in rebounding on three separate occasions… Set a career high in assists with eight at No. 8 Cincinnati (12-27-12)… Standout performance in win at Boise State (1-16-13) while battling the flu scored 15 points, grabbed a team-high seven rebounds and went on to hit layup to send game to overtime and scored five points in the extra period to clinch the win… Reached double figures in points on nine separate occasions including three games in a row during conference play that saw him shoot 73% from beyond the arc… Scored 13 of UNM’s 29 points in two OT wins… Finished the season with 42 consecutive starts… Repeated as a Lobo Scholar-Athlete award winner and as Lobo Award recipient for all around student-athlete at the Branch Law Firm Men’s Basketball Banquet.
FRESHMAN (2011-12)
Academic All-MW selection… Scored a season-high 22 points in 19 minutes versus Air Force (3-8-12), which also marked first 20+ point performance of his career… Recorded first career double-double with ten points and ten rebounds at Boise State (2-4-12)… Had eight games of ten or more points… Had season-high six assists in first career game versus New Orleans (11-11-11)… Made first career start in his third career appearance at Arizona State (11-18-11)…Scored 12 points in his NCAA Tournament debut against Long Beach State, including going 4-for-4 from the line in the final three minutes… Scored all twelve of his points in the win over Long Beach State in the NCAA Tournament in the second half.
HIGH SCHOOL/INTERNATIONAL
Made a huge splash internationally, leading the Australian U-19 squad in the FIBA U-19 World Championships in Latvia in the summer of 2011… Helped the Aussies to a sixth-place finish, averaging 17.1 points, 2.6 assists, and 4.0 rebounds per game… One of five players named First Team All-U-19 Worlds… Scored a tournament-best 26-point effort against the United States… Helped Australia win its group with a 5-1 record, and finished 6-3 in the tournament overall… Averaged 24.0 points in the final three-game phase… Has played over 50 international games for Australia including winning five gold and two bronze medals… Along with the U-19 Worlds, he has traveled and played in the United States, Italy, France, Taiwan, China, Germany, Guam and New Zealand… Also saw time the Australian Senior National Team in a three-game series vs. Argentina, and he averaged 16.0 points, 5.3 rebounds, and 1.7 assists in Australia’s FIBA Oceania qualifying series against New Zealand… Played for Australia’s U-17 team in 2009… At age 17, he was one of the youngest players ever picked for the Australian Senior Team. He also played for the Australian U-19 team in several tournaments, including a Tour of France, the 4 Nations Tournament in Melbourne, and the Under 19 FIBA World Championships (New Zealand)… Basketball Australia Junior Player of the Year Award and while with AIS… Basketball Australia’s junior Male Player of the Year and was captain of the national team that won gold at the Australian Youth Olympic Festival.
PERSONAL
Born March 6, 1992, in Hobart, Australia… Parents are Mike and Andree Greenwood, and his sister Josie is on the women’s basketball team… Father played water polo and his mother played basketball… Grandfather starred for the Melbourne Demons in the AFL… Came to New Mexico as the fourth Aussie to sign with the program, and the second straight out of the Australian Institute of Sport and follows in the footsteps of Aussies Luc Longley (1987-91) from Perth, Ryan Kersten (2005-07) from Modbury Heights, and former teammate Cameron Bairstow of Brisbane… Major is Psychology.
