New Mexico Game Notes

ALBUQUERQUE, N.M. — Proof that UNM’s schedule isn’t getting any easier, the Lobos will host No. 15 Texas Tech in a midweek Tuesday game at Santa Ana Star Field on Tuesday at 1 p.m.  The game was moved from its original time of 6:30 p.m., and Wednesday’s game has been cancelled.  The game is a businessman’s special, with $2 admission and $2 hot dogs.

The Lobos are currently 12-21-1 while Texas Tech is 29-8.  The Red Raiders won 7-2 earlier this season when the two teams met in Lubbock.

The Lobos will hope that played at home will help the bats out, as the Lobos picked up just 13 hits in a three-game series against Nevada.  The Lobos lost all three games, the final two without senior captain Danny Collier, who was injured late in the game on Friday against Nevada.  Both teams have not officially announced who will start on the mound.

New Mexico will remain at home after the Texas Tech game for a big three-game series against UNLV, in what is the only meeting between the two teams this season.  Games against the Rebels will be Friday at 6:30 p.m., Saturday at 2 p.m., and Sunday at 1 p.m.  Admission is $2 all weekend long, and there are plenty of fun promotions as there are a lot of events going on throughout the weekend.

Friday:
Pack goes Purple- Lobo Respect will be at both games.
Bark in the Park- Dog treats will be provided by Clark’s Pet Emporium.  Will provide doggie bags.
