Lobo Football Spring Showcase on Sat., March 3

ALBUQUERQUE, N.M. — The University of New Mexico football team will hold its annual Spring Showcase on Saturday, March 3 from 11:30 to 1 p.m., with gates opening at 11 am.  Parking for the event is free and fans are encouraged to park in the Stadium West lot.
 
The Spring Showcase kicks off a fun-filled sports day at for Lobo fans with the Spring Showcase from 11:30 am to 1 pm, Lobo baseball hosting Nevada at 2 p.m. and Lobo men’s basketball hosting Fresno State on senior night at 7 p.m.  The Lobo men’s tennis team is also hosting the Mountain-Pacific Invitational at the Lobo Tennis Club and the McKinnon Family Tennis Stadium.
 
The Lobos in the Spring have a roster of 87, including several returning starters from the 2017 season, including returning captain Alex Hart, a linebacker, and a three-year starter along the offensive line in Aaron Jenkins.  Additionally, eight Lobos from the signing day class of 2018 are enrolled in school and are on the practice field.
 
The Spring Showcase will not be a full game, but an open practice with several scrimmage elements and periods that the fans love and will give Lobo fans a nice look at what’s on tap for 2018.  Additionally, several fan-favorite practice staples will be run, including one-on-one passing drills where running backs, receivers and tight ends go against UNM’s defensive backs and linebackers, and 7-v.-7 skelly passing drills.
 
Fans can park in the northern part of the Stadium West lot and enter through gate four in the northwest corner, with seating all along the west side of Dreamstyle Stadium.  Lobo hospitality will have special concessions and pricing available during the Spring Showcase, and fans can head onto the field after the Showcase, just like at all Lobo Football home games to be on the field, have a catch and take pictures.
 
2018 season tickets will be on-sale and available for fans to purchase at the event. Fans who had season tickets last year may renew, add-on, or upgrade their seats from last season, or wait until they receive a renewal invoice later this spring. Season tickets start at just $86 for an adult, or $225 for a 4-seat Family Plan. Additionally, fans wanting to also attend the Lobo baseball game at Santa Ana Star Field can present their roster cards to the ticket window for free admission to the 2 p.m. game as the Lobos take on Nevada.
