Lobo Track & Field Hosting Team Tryouts Aug. 30
ALBUQUERQUE, N.M. — The University of New Mexico track & field team will be holding team tryouts on Wednesday, August 30 at 2 p.m. at the University of New Mexico’s Outdoor Track Complex.
In order to try out, all interested students must fulfill a list of requirements before arriving for their tryout, including:

Full-time enrollment as students (12 credit hours) at UNM for the Fall 2017 semester.

A signed paper from a physician proving the student has undergone a physical within the last calendar year (performed anytime from August 30, 2016 through August 30, 2017).

Proof of current health insurance (i.e., health insurance card or papers) from their health insurer.

A liability waiver (linked above) signed by either the athlete or a parent/guardian if the athlete is under 18 years of age.

Registration with the NCAA Eligibility Center, including certified final amateurism, and a Member Number.

Final transcripts from previous institution (if transfer student).
Students should arrive promptly for the tryout at 2 p.m. on August 30, with all necessary documents and wearing appropriate running attire.
At the tryout, the coaching staff will conduct a 30-meter sprint time trial and a 150-meter sprint trial, and possibly a 600-meter time trial for some individuals. The tryouts may also include some event-specific observations and training.
It is suggested students bring a drink and snack for post-tryout.
