ALBUQUERQUE, N.M. — The University of New Mexico will host the 24th Annual New Mexico Women’s Football Clinic on July 20 at Branch Field at Dreamstyle Stadium with festivities starting at 5:30 p.m.
The purpose of the clinic is to give women a first-hand look at the inner workings of the Lobo football program. The clinic also provides attendees an opportunity to meet UNM coach Bob Davie, his coaching staff and members of the Lobo football program.
“The Lobo Football Women’s Clinic has become a great tradition here at UNM,” Davie said. “Every year we look forward to the opportunity to give the women of New Mexico an inside look of what Lobo football is all about.”
All participants will get a “Women’s Football Clinic” T-shirt, dinner provided by Buffalo Wild Wings and beverages, participate in a question and answer session, take a tour of the Lobo football facilities and participate in on-field drills with instruction from the Lobo football players and coaches.
The cost of the event is $30 with proceeds benefiting the Send-A-Kid Program, which allows underprivileged youth to attend Lobo football games.
Check-in at the Tow Diehm athletic building will begin at 5:30 p.m. with dinner being served at 6 p.m. Athletic clothing and sneakers are recommended.
