ALBUQUERQUE, N.M. — Coach Bradbury continues to stack his squad for the 2017-18 season, his second at the helm of the Lobos. Bradbury and his staff have signed Aisia Robertson, a transfer from Kansas, who will come to Albuquerque this summer to begin training with the Lobos.

“Aisia’s athleticism is what sold us,” Bradbury said. “She can score, she’s an elite defender and she’s long for her height. Aisia’s game fits our system really well.”

Robertson, a 5-8 guard out of San Francisco, Calif. will join the Lobos after having played every game over the last two seasons with the Jayhawks. Due to the NCAA transfer rule, Robertson will sit out the 2017-18 season and be eligible for competition in 2018-19.

Robertson is coming off of a season in which she saw action in 30 games as a sophomore. She averaged 15.1 minutes, 4.4 points, 3.4 rebounds, 0.7 assists and 0.9 steals per game in 2017-18. As a freshman in 2015-16, Robertson started 22 games averaging 4.8 points and 4.0 rebounds while shooting 30.4 percent from the field.

A top-100 recruit out of Bishop O’Dowd High School in Oakland, Calif., Robertson was a three-time East Bay Athletic League Champion, won a Division III state title as well as an open division state title and two North Coast Section Championships. She was ranked 18th for her position and No. 85 overall by ProspectNation and 24th for her position (84th overall) by College Girls Basketball Report. The 2015 McDonald’s All-America nominee will help add depth to the Lobo squad and provide roster flexibility in the coming seasons.

“Aisia can play multiple positions and will give us flexibility when Cherise (Beynon) and Tesha (Buck) are gone,” Bradbury said. “The timing should be really good.”

Robertson joins Bradbury’s first Lobo class that includes Jasmine Smith, Madison Washington, Antonia Anderson, N’Dea Flye and Jaedyn DeLaCerda.
