ALBUQUERQUE, N.M. — Coming off of an exciting win on Tuesday over Rice, The University of New Mexico men’s basketball team is hosting its fourth of a five-game home stand on Friday night, Dec. 22 at 7 p.m. against Prairie View A&M.
Friday night’s game also marks the second of four Friends and Family Nights where students may bring three additional guests for free – just by presenting their student ID!

SERIES HISTORY
Prairie View and UNM have faced each other just once in the programs’ history. The Panthers traveled to Albuquerque on Dec. 3, 1988. The Lobos claimed the victory in the lone matchup of the series by a 25-point margin, 100-75.
THE COACHES
UNM head coach Paul Weir enters the game 4-8 in his first season at the helm of the Lobos, 32-14 in his career. The Panthers are coached by Byron Smith in his second season. Smith has guided PVAMU to a 2-10 record so far this season and a 15-36 mark in his time PVAMU (also equivalent to his career mark).
