Game Day Info: Lobos hosting South Dakota

Richard McQuarleyRichard McQuarley

ALBUQUERQUE, N.M. — The New Mexico Lobos open the 2016 football season tonight as the Lobo welcome the South Dakota Coyotes (that’s said with two syllables, not three) to Branch Field at University Stadium.  The game will officially kickoff at 7:08 p.m. and it will be televised on ROOT SPORTS Rocky Mountain, Northwest and Southwest.  Below are all the important links to let you enjoy the game, whether you are making the trip to University Stadium, watching the game on TV, or listening to Robert Portnoy.

BUYING TICKETS & COMING TO THE GAME
Information on purchasing tickets can be found at www.unmtickets.com, and buy tickets to this game, click here.  The Ticket Office in WisePies Arena is open from 8:30 a.m. to 5 p.m., and the University Stadium Box Office is open at 4 p.m.  Fans getting tickets closer to game time should use the Northwest Corner ticket booths, as there are more windows, which means shorter lines.

The first 5,000 fans through the gates will receive Lobo Spirit Bands.  Local favorites The Noms will be performing in the Howl Zone before the game, and then again at halftime on the field after the UNM Marching Band.

Parking will be slightly tricky due to classes being in session, but all of the info on parking that you would need is right here.

In addition, here is the complete stadium map with shows were many of the new amenities are located.

This is the first game that UNM’s new alcohol policy is in place, as beer and wine will be available throughout the stadium.  Click here to read up on UNM’s policies for the purchase of beer and wine.  In addition, this is the first major event with UNM’s new partner, Levy Restaurants.  Make sure you check out all they have to offer, including this week’s specialty item, a New Mexico Chicken “Cheese Steak” Sandwich, which will be sold in the North and South Grill stands to $10.
