ATLANTA, Ga. – The University of New Mexico women’s basketball team has received another academic honor. The Lobos were ranked 12th in the Women’s Basketball Coaches Association (WBCA) Top 25 Academic Honor Roll with a team grade point average of 3.524 as announced by the WBCA Tuesday. The Lobos have made the WBCA’s Top 25 Academic Honor Roll nine out of the last 12 seasons.
The Lobos earned many conference academic honors, including six Mountain West Scholar-Athletes and 13 Academic All-Mountain West selections, which set a record in the conference for the sport of women’s basketball.
