ALBUQUERQUE, N.M. — For the 13th year in a row, on August 19th, 2016, The Lobo Club offers UNM coaches, fans, and student-athletes the opportunity to come together to kick off the new school year at the Howl of a Good Time Auction. The event provides guests a unique Lobo athletic experience not offered anywhere else and is the Lobo Club’s largest annual fundraiser featuring a reception, silent auction, dinner and live auction. The Howl of a Good Time Auction will have more than 100 silent auction items and 8 live auction items available for purchase including a trip to Hawaii with the Football team, a Baseball Mountain West Championship Ring and a vacation to Cancun, Mexico.
The Howl of a Good Time Auction will be held at Hotel Albuquerque of Old Town at 6:00 PM. The cost per ticket is $150.00 per person and includes beer, wine and a 3-course meal. The Lobo Club is performing the silent auction through mobile bidding this year. So, even if guests can’t attend, they can participate remotely through their phone or tablet. All proceeds from the auction benefit the UNM student-athlete scholarship fund.
Thanks to the generosity of donors who attend this event, the Lobo Club is able enhance the student-athlete experience at the University of New Mexico by relieving students of the financial burden of paying for college. While the real value of athletic scholarships is intangible, our donor’s kindness and generosity grants many student-athletes the ability to pursue their athletic and academic dreams, which for many would be impossible otherwise.
