COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. — The University of New Mexico’s football schedule was solidified further as two games were added to the ROOT SPORTS package for the Mountain West. The games selected were home games with San José State on October 1 and with ULM on October 22.
The game with SJSU will kick off at University Stadium at 2 p.m., and the game with ULM will kick off at 7 p.m. The game with SJSU will be UNM’s Homecoming. The additions give UNM three games on ROOT SPORTS, with the season opener on Thursday, September 1 also on ROOT SPORTS. That game will kick off at 7 p.m.
In addition, the annual Rio Grande Rivalry game at New Mexico State will kick off at 6 p.m. and it will be broadcast on AggieVision. Further distribution channels for that contest will be available closer to the actual game date.
Overall, every game is now slated for broadcast except UNM’s game at Hawai’i, but that game is expected to be on Oceanic, and picked up for stateside broadcast. UNM has six games on ESPN’s Family of Networks, three on ROOT SPORTS, one on CBS Sports Network and one on AggieVision.
Game times for the five games on ESPN’s Family of Networks (Oct. 15 vs. Air Force at The Cotton Bowl, Nov. 5 vs. Nevada, Nov. 12 at Utah State, Nov. 19 at Colorado State and Nov. 26 vs. Wyoming) will have game times assigned by ESPN, along with the originating network 12 days before each game. The game at Rutgers on ESPN News will kickoff at noon Eastern, 10 a.m. Mountain.
