BATON ROUGE, La. – After day two of the 2016 NCAA Baton Rouge Regional, the Lobos are currently tied for 16th place after carding a 21-over 309 as a team in round two. The Lobos will tee off in likely their last round of the 2015-16 season tomorrow, May 7th, at 9:09 a.m. on hole 10.

Jumping up one spot to claim first place on the team leaderboard is South Carolina. The Gamecocks posted an 11-under 277 on the day, the second lowest in the history of the University Club. South Carolina breaks the 286 mark set yesterday for a tournament since the 2010 renovation. Only the 16-under score of 272 by Duke in the 2007 NCAA East Regional here in the final round was lower. Carolina’s 567 is 20 shots lower than the previous low 36 hole total since renovation and the third lowest all-time at the University Club. After two rounds of play, South Carolina is currently nine-under with a score of 567.

Dropping to second place is Washington, with a two-round team score of 575 (-1). In third place is Florida with a four-over score of 580, followed by Duke at 585 (+9). Oregon and BYU are currently tied for fifth place with identical scores of 588 (+12).

Atop the player leaderboard is South Carolina’s Katelyn Dambaugh with a two-round total score of 136 (-8). Dambaugh’s round two score of 66 (-6) is a course record since the 2010 renovation of the University Club and ties for second lowest with several other golfers all-time. The 136 (-8) 36-hole total is the lowest since renovation and the second lowest all-time at the University Club.

Jumping up 13 spots to the number two position is Charlotte Thomas of Washington. She currently has a two-round score of 140 (-4). Thomas’s second round card of 67 (-5) tied the previous record since renovation.

Only the top six teams and two individuals (not on one of the qualifying teams) will progress to Nationals.

Moving up 25 spots on the individual leaderboard to sit tied for 25th place is New Mexico’s own, Manon Molle’. Molle’ carded a one-under 71 in round two to put her at a two day total score of 148 (+4). She had four birdies on the day and six thus far in the tournament.
