ALBUQUERQUE, N.M. — The University of New Mexico women’s basketball team (3-4) is looking to break even with a Tuesday evening contest against the Minnesota Golden Gophers (5-3) at WisePies Arena – The Pit. The squads will tip off at 7 p.m. on Fan Appreciation Day.

Both Minnesota and UNM are coming off of big wins that broke 3+ game losing streaks. The Lobos topped SMU on Saturday at home by a score of 64-49 to snap a four-loss streak while Minnesota was riding a three-loss streak before topping Detroit Mercy on Saturday 111-91.
The Coaches:
The Lobos are led by head coach Mike Bradbury in his first season with UNM, his 10th season overall. Bradbury posts a career record of 181-121 and is 3-4 at the helm of the Lobos
Minnesota is coached by Marlene Stollings in her third season. She is currently 48-25 at Minnesota and 99-56 overall. Stollings is just one win away from her 100th career victory.
Series History:
The Lobos are 2-3 against Minnesota in program history including a 1-1 home record. Both of UNM’s wins over the Golden Gophers have come in the last two meetings with the Lobos claiming a 62-44 victory at WisePies Arena – The Pit on Nov. 30, 2005 before earning a 72-53 win ten years later on the road – last season on Dec. 16.
