The following is a statement from the UNM Athletics Department regarding this week’s football game at Hawai’i at 10 p.m. Mountain Time on Saturday night.
“Lobo fans,
There is no television broadcast for this weekend’s game at Hawai’i outside of the state of Hawaii. This is due to Oceanic Sports, which has the rights for this game. They have not chosen not to make any pay-per-view telecasts available for broadcast or streaming. While this means there will be no way for Lobo fans on the mainland to watch the game, we remind you that Robert Portnoy and DonTrell Moore will bring you the action via the Lobo Radio Network, which is heard throughout the state, and is free to stream on GoLobos.com and on the TuneIn Radio App.
Please know that this is a situation that we, and the conference, worked hard to rectify to allow our fans to be able to watch this game, but we were not able to make sufficient inroads to bring the broadcast to our fans here in New Mexico and throughout the continental United States.
However, our remaining four games in November will all be broadcast on one of the ESPN Family of Network channels, including our game with Nevada which has been announced with an 8:15 p.m. kickoff of either ESPN2 or ESPNU. We hope you will enjoy this week’s radio broadcast and that you will join this exciting team at University Stadium on November 5.
