Robert Rimorin enters his 12th year working for the University of New Mexico’s Sports Medicine staff. His primary job responsibilities are caring for the university’s varsity baseball team. Rimorin is also responsible for managing the complex’s athletic training room, and overseeing the graduate assistant athletic trainers for men’s soccer, women’s soccer, softball, and men’s and women’s tennis.

A 2006 graduate of UNM, Rimorin also worked with the baseball team as a graduate assistant at UNM while attaining his master’s degree in Sports Administration, which he received in December 2008.

Prior to his return to the University of New Mexico, Rimorin spent a year and a half at Colorado Mesa University covering men’s soccer, wrestling and the men’s and women’s swimming and diving teams.

As an undergraduate he worked with the Arizona Cardinals football team at their training camps in 2004 and 2005. He was in charge of the sports medicine team at the All-American Baseball Game in July 2007 and was head athletic trainer for the NFL Europe camp held in Mexico in November 2006.

Rimorin was born in San Jose, Calif., and is a graduate of Belen High School (Belen, N.M.) in 2002.
